Marvelous photos, Adam! You haven’t lost your touch over the winter. What a great place that must be to visit!
It’s pretty cool indeed. They just re-opened in Oct ’08 after demolishing and completely re-building the old structure (seismic stuff). As we live but a short walk in the park from it, we are members, and so get to visit whenever we like 🙂
really beautiful shot. I loved the birds (tho I can’t name them…) I also really liked the blue in that jellyfish & you got the dof perfectly in that shot! fabulous work!
I couldn’t name them either (unless I inspected all of the interpretive signs to see if they’re named) – they’re certainly interesting, especially the black and multi-colored neon one! The jellies were hard to photograph, as it’s pretty dark in their area.
Lots of exotic critters there. But everything you showed here was beautiful. It’s been too many years since I was there (at the old building, of course!). That would be a neat place to visit on a rainy day. 🙂
A great place for a rainy day for sure, but be prepared for huge crowds – we went at opening and it was crowded. By the time we left at 1pm there was an hour wait for the rainforest enclosure, the planetarium tickets were gone for the rest of the day, and there were >100 people in the entrance line!
Nice Nice Nice . . . Adam you take such amazing photos! Keep up the great work my friend!
Thanks, Tom!
Excellent crisp and detailed shots! Nice to tag along! 🙂
Cheers, Klaus
Thank you, Klaus!
Amazing! I would never leave there. Great rainforest area.
Also, if you are in the neigborhood, you can drop by Science and Soul to check out the All-Star scientist midfielders.
It’s a great place, and all the better that it’s a working science academy as well as educational and just plain pretty!
