Well, it’s been a very rainy few weeks here, and none of the times I had available for bird outings were dry, so I chased the cats around with my camera and flash until they got sick of me (which didn’t take long).

Josie, casting a sidelong glance
Chloe, who always looked slightly stoned 🙂
Jasper, although terminally ill, wouldn’t stay still enough to get all of his head in the frame!
That Josie shot is awesome – I’m adoring the depth in that frame as well as the b&w aspect. Jasper looks amazingly curious, a cat’s nature I hear, it’s a bored curiosity tho, a combination of emotions that only a cat can master I think. Fabulous shots Adam.
So sorry to see that about Jasper! We just lost our cat whom we had with us for over ten years.
These are great and I think my cat’s are about due for some photos! Thanks for the smiles!
I thought my daughter and I were the only ones who keep trying to capture our four cats. My daughter, Red, has some beautiful shots of our cats. As for me, I think I’m still attempting to get the best shots. Our cats are definitely more difficult to capture in photos than our two dogs. I’m glad you shared your photos of your cats. And hopefully this week we will have more sunshine so we Californians can get an opportunity to do some birding.
Lori: Thanks! Josie’s the only one of our three who poses well for me 🙂
Montucky: Yeah, it’s sad – he’s only 4 years old, but has advanced FIP and won’t be with us too much longer. Sorry to hear about your cat as well!
Tom: yes, do share!
Mary: hopefully indeed – I’ve only been out twice so far this year and am itching to go birding!
