Jennifer posted a few days ago on the Book Cover Meme, and I thought I’d play along. The idea is to go to Amazon.com’s advanced search, search on your first name in a book title, and pick the most interesting book cover that’s in the search results.
Since I have a common, biblical, first name, and share it with one of the most famous nature photographers in the world, along with the 2nd US president, I searched on ‘adam -ansel -john’ and came up with this amid the myriad biblical books and 80’s men’s movement screeds:
Book Description
A child’s story of how it feels to have Tourette syndrome and hyperactivity (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
What’s the best book cover that has your first name in it?
Utterly hilarious… I won’t be able to match the humor of this one but what the hey, I’ll play the game. 😉 (I wonder why the little kid has his left hand under his shirt?…. is he tickling himself?) Guess I’ll have to spring a few bucks to find out.
Hi Adam! Haven’t seen you around in a while and I thought I’d stop by your blog. I would do this meme except there are no books with my name, Jayleen, on the cover. The closest it came was a book called “Cutting it Close” which used my name on page 4. LOL
Having a unique name makes me somewhat possesive anyway. I’m not used to sharing it. 😉 When I meet people who have my name I always want to make sure I’m the oldest so I can claim some sort of ‘rights’ to the name. I’m getting more used to the notion that there really are others who share my name since the internet makes it possible to search. It’s funny, because when I first began surfing the internet and searched, I was the only one. Now there are tons of entries. Oh well.
Anyway, interesting meme! And Hi!
Aullori: thanks for playing! I liked the book cover you chose, especially the little boy w/a bird on his head 🙂
Jayleen: hello again, and thanks for trying to play anyways 🙂 I lost your blog in a recent RSS reader failure – thanks for reminding me – I’ll add it soon.
