Sandpiper: Thanks - the glacier blue was something else!

Scienceguy: Thank you. If you're ever in southern S. America, Perito Moreno is absolutely a must-see.

Lori: You're very kind! I liked the thrushes we saw especially since I could easily identify them as thrushes (we saw a different thrush species in Buenos Aires, quite similar to our American Robins).

Amazing - again I have to say you write so well it almost feels like being there. I found myself laughing and saying wow at almost every shot! Those glacier shots were just amazing... (it does feel just a wind chill away from being there - beautiful work!) I loved looking at the thrush (again comparing it to the most common one here - the robin and seeing the similarities and differences...) That must have just been mind bending on the trip. It's funny really (concerning your comment about no wildlife) I've heard that said about over here because we border the boreal forest and ironically I usually don't have issues spying animals and birds too. (p.s. I would be soooo chicken to walk on a glacier!) It's impossible to call my favorite shot - all of it is wayyy too beautiful!

Montucky: Thanks! This was definitely one of our favorite places we visited on this vacation, and one of the loveliest places I've ever been.

Klaus: Thank you! The glacier blue is amazing to see in person, and it makes the waters of the lakes it feeds all milky and cyan-to-blue. They call the opaque waters "glacial milk," an apt moniker.
