Monarch: Yes, yes I did!

Scienceguy: Buenos Aires was very affordable indeed - meals and such were 1/2 to 1/3 the price of San Francisco. Airfare & lodging were about average; no great deals there. Patagonia was fairly expensive since 1) it's very remote and 2) full of tourists.

Lori: Thanks - Argentina has quite a meat culture, and rightly so given the very high quality of their beef & lamb. We have mimes here @ Fisherman's Wharf, and they also always attract a crowd. Bewildering!

Montucky: Thank you!

Sandpiper: Glad you're enjoying it since there's a whole lot more to come!

Of course it goes without saying that these birds would be lifers for me too so I say hey, shout it out - I think it's wonderful! I really love the piece Floralis Generica - what a huge undertaking that must have been. It's beautiful! Your bird shots are amazing I love how the mockingbird has his tail up - it looks like the redwinged blackbirds over here when they are ticked off. And what can you say about the meat in the window shot? Now there is something you just don't see in our culture.... Really great shot. I am a big fan of things that express the culture of an area and that looks like the shot that does it the most. Well, I can only say I've never see anything like that in the states. (I must admit I'm not a big mime fan myself ... so I can understand the confusion there.) That big of a crowd just for a mime?... I would have never even thought one could pull in that big of a crowd.....
